Would you allow yourself to be eaten by the people you loved the most, if it meant they would survive apocalypse or certain starvation tragedy? Obviously this also means they’d have to spend the remainder of their lives knowing they ate you. That’s a whole thing. But maybe the body is the last ultimate sacrifice.

CANNIBALISM FUN FACT: Armand Hammer was a minority shareholder of Church & Dwight (the Church & Dwight Company developed the Arm & Hammer brand of baking soda) in the 1980s. Four generations of Hammers are named Armand as either a first or middle name.
